Key Questions driving the project
What is the current health status of people in Port Lincoln and how do they currently use health services locally and elsewhere?
Are there variations in patterns of health care for different people in Port Lincoln?  And if so where and why?
Where and for whom are there instances of unmet need for health care or duplication and how might delivery of care be re-modelled to improve services?

What is the point of looking at these things?

There is no Australian population-wide view of how health systems are used, by whom and with what effect on health.

The complexity and interplay of health care processes and how individuals in the community interact with these processes is not well understood.

Demographic changes and health policy imperatives require effective reform in health care delivery models.
This reform should be informed by population-wide understandings of health service demands, utilisation of services and opportunities to remodel the delivery of care.
